Experience/Details: I teach Bassoon, Clarinet and Saxophone and have started students on other instruments, but am most comfortable with the above. Lessons are 1/2 hour in my home. My schedule is flexible, but prefer Monday through Thursday evenings. Background if anyone is interested: Bachelor's in Music Ed from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, IA; Master's in Music, Bassoon Performance, studying with Wilbur Simpson, at Northwestern and have played for many community theater groups, dance bands. I am a member of the Crystal Lake Community Band, the Woodstock City Band, and the Perfect Fifth Quintet and have played for many community theater groups, dance bands, and provided special music for weddings, funerals and churches. I also taught instrumental music for 2 years in Western Illinois before starting graduate school.

Clarinet & Bass Clarinet

Experience/Details: I teach clarinet and bass clarinet lessons from beginner to intermediate, 5th grade to adult. I have a Bachelor of Music in theory and composition from Ohio State University (1997) and a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2005). I work as a librarian for a public library. I also play piano and will do some accompanying.
I am active in the following local music groups:
• Crystal Lake Community Band (bass clarinet)
• Woodstock City Band (bass clarinet)
• The Perfect Fifth Woodwind Quintet (Bb clarinet)
• Prairie Reeds Clarinet Quartet (Bb and bass clarinet)
My rate is $20 for a 30-minute lesson. I typically give weekly lessons, but can work with other schedules.

French Horn

Experience/Details: I hold a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Eastern Illinois University. I am currently going into my third year of teaching music and beginning band in the McHenry school district. I am willing to teach Beginning to Middle School level French Horn and Piano lessons. I charge $15 for a half an hour lesson. Will travel to your home to teach.

Experience/Details: I am available to teach trombone to all ages, beginner through advanced. I am most available on evenings and weekends. $15 for 1/2-hour weekly lessons, or other arrangements are available. The first lesson is free. I have played trombone for over forty years. I majored in trombone performance at Roosevelt University, and I studied with many professional players around Chicago, including members of the Chicago Symphony and Lyric Opera orchestras. I free-lanced around Chicago for several years, playing for Lyric Opera, touring ballet and musical theater companies, and recording dates. I live in Cary, and I can teach in your home or mine, or at your school or church with their permission.

Experience/Details: I can teach beginners to intermediate with Cornet, Trumpet, Baritone, Euphonium and Tuba and more advanced on Trombone. I have taught groups and individuals since 1986. I am the Bandmaster at The Salvation Army, Crystal Lake and a member of the Divisional Band in Chicago. I am also a member of the Central Territory USA Composers Forum. I have taught at our prestigious Music Conservatory and/or Music Camp since 1986 in varied locations: Kansas City, Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Chicago areas.
